Churros, or Xurros in Catalan, are pastries made of fried dough. The dough consists of flour, water and salt. Nothing more, nothing less. Being fried in oil, they are quite filling. But oh so delicious!
While originating in Spain and Portugal, Churros are also popular in France and in a lot of Latin American countries. There are slight variations of the Churro, depending on the country or region. Some are straight, some are spiral shaped, some thicker, some thinner, some are filled and some have a topping.
